THE NATION OF ETHIOPIA, TIGRAY AND BEYOND
Ethiopia is Africa's oldest Christian nation, with a church history dating back to the 4th century. Yet in recent years, the conflict in Tigray (2020-2022) left hundreds of thousands dead and millions in humanitarian need. While a peace agreement was signed in November 2022, the process of healing and reconstruction continues. Simultaneously, Islamic extremism is growing in parts of the country, and evangelical believers face increasing pressure in some regions. Ethiopia also remains a key gateway to missions across the Horn of Africa.

PRAYER POINTS
Thank God for the ancient Christian heritage of Ethiopia and pray for a renewal of apostolic fire within the Ethiopian Orthodox and Evangelical churches. (Acts 8:27-39)
Pray for the ongoing healing and reconciliation process in Tigray — for the traumatised, the bereaved, and the displaced to receive God's comfort and restoration. (Psalm 34:18)
Pray for the protection of evangelical believers facing pressure and persecution in Muslim-majority regions of Ethiopia. Let their faith not fail. (Luke 22:32)
Pray that Ethiopia continues to serve as a springboard for missions to Somalia, Eritrea, Djibouti, and the broader Horn of Africa. (Isaiah 18:1-2)
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
Over Ethiopia: The shaking shall not destroy the covenant purpose of the land. What is not rooted in God will be removed, but what remains shall stand firm. Out of seasons of pain and ashes, a fresh fire of revival shall arise again.
